In 2019, I completed a Marketing and Merchandising Internship with Filthy Rebena Vintage in London, Ontario as part of my co-op placement in the Fashion Marketing and Management Program at Fanshawe College. One of my responsibilities was coordinating product photoshoots with models and photographers for the store’s website, blog, and social media platforms. This marked the beginning of my career as a Freelance Fashion Stylist. I collaborated with local creatives such as makeup artists, photographers, and aspiring models to produce unique photoshoots for personal projects, magazine publications, and local businesses. Every piece I used to style these photoshoots was sourced secondhand, whether borrowed from my own closet, provided by models or creatives, or found at thrift stores. My favourite project was serving as the Garment and Model Committee Lead for a student-run fashion show in the Fashion Marketing and Management Program, in collaboration with Goodwill Industries. I had the opportunity to style all of the female models on the runway, oversee the sourcing of garments for the show from Goodwill, organize the models, and lead the upcycling team that reimagined secondhand pieces.
Outside of my professional experience, I’m endlessly inspired by fashion culture. I’m passionate about analyzing trends and runway collections, constantly tracking how fashion evolves across seasons and designers. I have an undying love for recreating Pinterest looks with my own twist, and I’m always finding new ways to style my outfits to reflect my individuality and make them stand out.
